- Pa’rus Trail: An easy paved path perfect for strollers and bikes. Sunset light glows here.
- Canyon Overlook Trail: A short hike with one of the best viewpoints in the park. Ideal for adventurous families.
- Virgin River Access Points (near Springdale): Peaceful, scenic, and easy to access without entering the park gates.
- Kolob Canyons Viewpoint: Less crowded, stunning red rock vistas, and a great option for families staying west of the park.
- Grafton Ghost Town: A unique desert backdrop just outside Springdale. Quieter, historic, and wide open.

When to Schedule Your Family Session
Zion weather and lighting changes fast, so here’s what you should know:

- Evening (golden hour): That dreamy light you see in all the best photos? Yep. It happens right before sunset.
- Midday: Harsh light and hot temps make this less ideal—but we can work around it in shaded areas.
