One of the most memorable weddings of the season was Dakota and Ty’s Top of Mammoth Mountain Wedding.
Firstly, these two Mammoth Lakes locals planned their wedding to take place at 11,530 feet above sea level! To get up here guests rode the Mammoth Mountain gondola from Main Lodge, past McCoy Station, all the way up to the top of the mountain. Once out of the Mammoth gondola, you’ll find the most striking views of the Eastern Sierra are at the top of Mammoth Mountain. The wedding design was simple and allowed for the natural beauty of the area to speak the loudest. The surrounding mountains were framed by an arch set up by Green Fox Events with stunning florals of Alpenglow Gardens. Rugs laid down as an isle for guest to stand on either side of in eager anticipation. The ceremony presented by Ty’s mother was touching and the vows read by Dakota and Ty left you in awe. Therefore, there was not a dry eye by the end of this Mammoth Mountain wedding ceremony.
After that, the whole wedding party grabbed their boards and headed down the mountain via snowboard! I skied with them down the mountain and took photos the whole way down. It was such a whimsical way to wrap up a Mammoth Mountain wedding. To conclude the evening, everyone headed to the Mammoth Brasserie for some of the best food and drinks in Mammoth Lakes.
